This is what we started with. Original carpet from the 50s, curtains that at one time were actually white and a wall unit AC which probably was never cleaned. Gross.
New hardwoods, a good coat of paint, removal of the wall unit and moving in our guest bed along with a bunch of random items left us with this. Still not really inviting but at least we were headed in the right direction.
Now we are up to this. Still not 100% complete but at least it is a bit more inviting. New bed frame and headboard from West Elm, a couple of nightstands from IKEA and some existing photos on the wall.
Next steps for this room, include putting doors on the closet, more artwork and a mirror for our guests. Not sure if it will happen before we have our first house guests but I’ll try. So who is staying with us next? X and J, I’m looking at both of you.

Thanks! The color is Benjamin Moore Feather Gray. We used it the guest rooms and dining room and are loving it. The photo is not true to color but it is a great gray.
