First off, thank you so much for the support on the career changes going on around here. I really appreciate it. I’ll be back to normal after a few more days of rest, wine and cuddles with my furry crew.
Second, I wish I had the photos taken at the yellow and gray bridal shower to share but since they haven’t made it my way yet, you’ll have to deal with my iPhone photos for the time being. I was hired to take on a few decorations for bridal shower being hosted at a friend’s house. What? I got paid to craft? I’m still in shock. The only direction was yellow and gray touches and base it off a couple of ideas from items I’ve made here before.
The sign in book was a version of the memo board from an empty frame I made last year. I also made a crepe paper garland which ended up being the perfect touch for the dining room niche where the party was hosted.
I made a couple of mini-versions of my white fabric wreaths for extra decor and a cute lemon kitchen towel apron as a gift for the bride-to-be based on my tutorial.
And these are the cupcake toppers I made with toothpicks, yellow and pearly paper. I love cupcake toppers and they are such a fun and simple way to dress up the dessert table at a party.
I’m quite thrilled to have had the chance to make these decorations for this yellow and gray bridal shower. From what I’ve heard, the bride-to-be and the guests loved it all. I even got a job to do some simple decorations for an upcoming baby shower as well. Fun times!
Thanks for following Directions Not Included!

Ah you made her an apron, I love that. Those flags are really cute too. I think your phone pics aren’t bad at all, much better than phone pics from like 3 years ago. Remember when phones first had cameras? Like 1 megapixel? lol.
