I may have forgotten we have a kitten who is celebrating her first Christmas. Our oldest cat, Annie is the laziest girl so I never have to worry about her. Lemur, not so much. All of these are phone pics because these were not staged.
It took two minutes from the time we put the tree in the stand for her to start doing this.
I decorated the tree anyway so this might be the only evidence that I had a somewhat pretty tree this year. Instead of using all my glass ornaments, I did only a small selection of red glass ornaments and the rest are plastic glitter snowflakes. Yes, I know my star is crooked.
Lemur thinks the Christmas tree, ornaments, tree skirt AND the presents under the tree are all mighty tasty. I heard some random noises late last night and got out of bed to find her doing this.

It is beginning to look at lot like Christmas…at least for a little bit…
I love that last photo! Our dog use to lay under our tree like that. I’m amazed you already have presents under there!
it looks beautiful!!!! love the red and green, and love the kitty under the tree waiting for santa. 🙂
ahhh too cute! I have a feeling this will be our Christmas this year too. Cheers!
Is the tree tied up? We’ve got 3 kitties and always use some wire and I hooks to secure the tree to the wall. We might get some ornaments knocked down, but the tree has never fallen
What cute pictures of your cat. Our cat loves the lay under the tree either sleeping or laying ready to pounce on the first dog that comes too close.
It sounds like it is a good thing that most of your ornaments are not breakable.

Your tree looks beautiful! I have a toddler who’s aiming to destroy ours too. 🙂 It’s still worth decorating though…. right?
Just remember that you only have one trouble maker with the tree… I have 8! You’re welcome to come over to my house to survey the damage and realize how much better yours looks:)
hahaha we’re getting our Christmas tree today and have already placed bets in which cat will be the first to climb it. We’re also going to be anchoring it to the wall with fishing line. Have you had to cut any sap out of your kitty’s fur? My parents had to do that with one of their cats. Crazy animals. 🙂
