So what has been keeping me pre-occupied? I resigned from my job. My job of 9.5 years. That is a pretty long time. Okay, a REALLY long time considering my age and the job market. I loved my job for many years but the time was right to explore a new opportunity.

I’m lucky enough to have found a great new job and I’ll be starting in April but the past few weeks have been pretty emotional. While there was no doubt what I wanted, and wasn’t happy with where I was, saying goodbye to your comfort zone and the friends you’ve made over the years is hard. Even more so for a sappy person like me!
So what has I been up to the past two weeks besides the coffee and wine? A bit of crafting for a bridal shower that I was hired to do the decorations for. I will admit that I did most of them on Saturday night before the shower. I’ll have pictures and details later this week since I heard it came out beautifully.
And enjoyed a lot of cuddles with some of the furry crew. A little downtime with family is good for the heart.
This is my last week at the current job then I get a week off to spend on myself. I have grand plans for lots of naps, projects and fun. First time in my adult life I have had no work responsibilities at all. I’m pretty darn excited! 😉
I hope you understand why I’ve been so lame. Bear with me 😉
Everyone had a good weekend? Anything fun to share?
i am so excited fr you as you start this new journey! it’s going to be amazing. enjoy the week to yourself… a little jealous over here. 😉
Change can be so exciting, and stressful at the same time. Enjoy that time off, never underestimate the power of a good nap 🙂
I can’t believe you did the decorations the day of, I would have collapsed from stress.
I’m excited for you! Life transitions are hard. About 5 years ago I left my “dream job” except that it wasn’t… it should have been but it wasn’t. It was a very hard decision but one that I know was right.
I GUESS I’ll excuse your absence, Miss Anna. 😉 Seriously–how exciting for you, to be starting a new job and to have some time off.
Deciding to leave a job you’ve been at for a while is always hard-I did it back in August. But moving forward and experiencing new things is always exciting! I hope everything works out the way you want! I wish I could say I had something like this as a reason for not posting-I’ve just lost the crafting spirit the last few days.

Congrats on getting the jobs figured out and the emotion behind you – I can’t even imagine, but I know that must have been absolutely insanely emotional and stressful (no matter how much it’s moving you towards something you want)! I’ll be taking some inspiration from you at some point (hopefully soon because I will have landed a job somewhere awesome). But congrats and hope you’re getting to enjoy the fun off time and animal fun time AND I’m also crazy impressed you’re hired to do decorations! AWESOME! : )

Congrats on the change! That’s a rough decision to make. And enjoy that time off!!!!
Congrats on the new job! Enjoy your week off, I am sure it will go by too fast and then you’ll be at the new job. It will be a bit scary but I am sure it will be a great change for you! Looking forward to hearing about it. Also excited to see your decorations for the bridal shower.
Congratulations on the exciting life change! It’s always hard to transition but it will be so worth it! Let us know how the new job goes!
Congrats again on the new job. Wishing you all the best in your new endeavor!
Awwww Anna, I’m sappy too…lol. My heart feels for you friend. It is difficult jumping out of our comfort zone. However, I think that is what life is all about, trying new things and when we do, we feel more comfortable, we grow, we learn, we become, we progress. I’m also going through some stuff and it’s not fun. I’m so happy to have you as a friend in blog land. I always appreciate your comments and sweet gestures. BTW, that stupid drawing game has gone viral in our house as well. I like playing it but am a horrible drawer! 😉 I’ll be praying for you and don’t stress about not having lots of posts, it’s completely OKAY! Knowing this has helped me to love blogging again. Hugs!
Congrats on your new adventure! I just started a game with you… I just discovered this app and it can be a time suck! But so much fun!
I just started a game with you! I am soooo addicted 🙂
