You guys are lucky. My sponsor (and hubby) RM Pottery actually donated a beautiful tea cup as a giveaway. You want to know how lucky you are? I am the potter’s wife and I don’t get pretty tea cups. I don’t even have plates made by him. Just like the saying goes the “shoemaker’s children go without shoes”, the potter’s wife goes without pottery. 10 years together and I’m still waiting for my dinner set.
Our house if FILLED with handmade pottery but I only get the leftovers. The random pieces that didn’t have the perfect shape or the glaze didn’t turn out just right. Don’t get me wrong, we have tons of beautiful stuff around the house, it is either his that is earmarked for the shop or galleries or from other potters we love.
But this piece, nope, it is perfect. I plucked it out from his last kiln firing and forced him to donate it for a giveaway. He had no choice 😉 ***

Hard to pick one fave, since I love bowls and cups, but I have to say… the teapots knock my socks off!! How long does it take him to do those? They are incredible!
