Baby blankets – why is baby fabric so cute?

March 28, 2012 5 Comments

It seems like everyone around me is either having babies or adopting them. It is amazing to me how many little ones are popping up around these parts. That is actually a good thing considering I have a major weakness for baby fabric. I have no restraint when I see soft, cuddly fabric in cute prints. Part of me wants to make myself a blanket from these.

Sweet little whales and an assortment of animals for the little girls…
More whales ( I seriously almost bought all this fabric in both colors – it is just so cute!) and dinosaurs for the boys…
Pin It
I’ve been cranking out blankets to keep up with all the births. I’ll have photos for a super easy baby blanket tutorial soon. I need to start moving this stash of fabric before I find more cute prints. Considering my sewing skills are so basic, I can guarantee the tutorial is easy enough that you can do it too. Plus, I love sewing gifts for babies because they can’t criticize an uneven stitch line 😉

LOVE the whale fabric – super cute. My girlfriend is a teacher and it seems there are always teacher’s at her school having babies. She also makes blankets and adds matching burp cloths and bibs. I can’t sew so I just envy 🙂
