pet crafts – pet toy organization

September 28, 2011 1 Comment

This is nothing fancy but I figured I would share what works for us for all those cohabiting with furry creatures. Living with multiple animals equals an assortment of toys and pet stuff in general. While I love my babies, there are certain things of theirs I am not a fan of. Clutter in general is not my thing so their toys have been known to drive me crazy. What is the best way to keep the pet toys in order? Cute storage containers is what works for me.
The cats have a little greek key paper bin for a few of their smaller toys. I keep this in the craft room so it matches perfectly. The cats do not return their toys to their bin so it is mostly for me to throw it in when the room looks like PetCo exploded it in. More often than not, I find Lemur has flipped it over and is laying next to it with a devilish smile.

The mutts need more storage than a tiny paper bin. A Target purchase in the shape of metal beverage tin which was a clearance find was the answer for them.

Spoiled much? Don’t think we favor the mutts, there are plenty of cat toys in there that Lily and Lemur steal from each other.

Organized mutt storage is very intriguing to my favorite old man, Dylan. Especially since I moved it from the usual spot to one near the window for the photo.

Window views are equally appealing.

Don’t let the furry creatures in your life to take over. Organize them and take control. Teach the dogs to put away their toys too. Mine bring theirs inside most of the time but putting them back in their bin doesn’t work well. The cats would rather hide them under the couch….at least they are out of view then 😉 Any tricks or tips for keeping the animal stuff in check? Or even the kid stuff!

I think Norman thinks his toy bin is a game I created just for him. His favorite thing to do is take everything out right after I put it all away.
