The little annoying ones. The ones you could do if you just stopped playing on Pinterest, Facebook or your Google Reader. Or if you stopped making up excuses for why it isn’t the right moment. Or if the hubby stopped watching golf (insert – football, baseball, soccer, etc).
All the original switches which have not been changed out and have no plates on them. There is a huge box of new switches and plates in our storage area we’ve had since December.
Baseboards. Who needs them? You mean gaps between the wood floor and the walls are not trendy? Did I mention I have gift cards to Home Depot that would cover the supplies just sitting in my desk?
A pile of extra pavers still waiting to be set in the yard to go with the bags of mulch still sitting there looking pretty in our front yard. These may or may not have been here for months.
Yeah, I’m a tad embarrassed now but I know I can’t be alone, right? Bueller? Bueller? At least this will help serve as a reminder and hopefully all this will be cleaned up soon.

OMG! I am soo glad you posted this. My list is getting longer and nothing is getting done.
I have a fundraiser at the end of October that I am sloooowwwwlllly getting ready for. This doesnt include the bathroom that still has paint samples on it from a year ago. or the kitchen, or even my craft room. Been in the house for a year and have finished my stairs and that is all.

Anna, I’m right there with you. All week long we talk about what we’re going to do come Saturday, then Saturday rolls around and it’s just so much more fun to play on the internet, work on the blog, go for a walk, go shopping, watch TV, basically anything but work around the house. Then Sunday night comes before we know it and we swear we’ll do better next weekend, ha!

You are not alone! I find myself overwhelmed with unfinished projects throughout the house. My husband and I have actually invited all our family over to have Christmas dinner at our house this year just so we can set an ultimatum for ourselves and hopefully forge past the procrastination!

Oooooh great honesty. We also have naked outlets and baseboard issues. It’s amazing how much time I spend dreaming up projects as opposed to actually completing them.
AND–you’ve inspired me to think about this as a possible topic for my next True Confessions of an Imperfect Homeowner post. It totally fits the bill. 🙂

I love it. I have tons of these lingering. I’m all about finishing projects, but my man is oh so slow.

I’ve had paint swatches on the kitchen walls since the month we moved in (May). At this point I’m contemplating painting over them before company comes for the holidays because I know I’m not going to get around to painting before then.
