shopping list – home decor

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a lovely weekend. I have to say, mine was pretty productive. I wish I had photos to share but last night was my office holiday party and I was too lazy after indulging in all that food and wine to get anything done besides laying on the couch cuddling with my mutts.


I did get some shopping in to help finish off a few rooms. I am so grateful that most of this was done with Amex Rewards gift cards. Such a nice little perk that I’m thankful to have. 


Two of these gray zebra pillows from West Elm are making it to the couch in the front living room. I have some simple pillows that I made on there but they needed something with a bit more interest.

I finally found some area rugs for the kitchen that were fun and not crazy expensive. Thank you Crate and Barrel for these adorable stripped rugs.

Okay, so this might not be decor related but it will help keep the mess under my craft room desks to a minimum. I bought two of these cable concealing boxes to keep us organized. With both computers and all the gadgets attached to them, the bottom of our desks looked pretty messy.

And last but not least I finally convinced my lighting hating husband to buy a new lamp. He seriously hates lighting fixtures…he is a strange one I tell you. He won’t budge so I have no cool accent lighting because of that. Makes me a tad jealous when I see all your fantastic dining rooms with a really dramatic fixture but I digress. But thankfully we found one that passed the test at CB2. Our family room needs more light and this one will fit perfectly in the corner.

What he doesn’t know is now that I convinced him we are running to grab it this week instead of getting it delivered. 😉
