Do you know those days when you come home from work and you just need to completely disconnect? I’m sure if you are a parent, you might have that feeling after putting the kids to bed some days? Whatever the case, last night was one of those nights. I just need to get myself all wrapped up in some crafts and forget about the day…or week or month. The mutts (the collective name of all 5 of our creatures) had a different idea.
Trying to work on my desk gets me this “Touch those canvas things before you pet my belly and I will kill you in your sleep” look from Annie.

I gave up on the canvas and moved to the floor to start pinning some baby blankets to sew. I figured I’d let Annie take over the desk for a bit. Of course blankets on the floor are the best places to nap.
Tried to go back to the desk but was greeted by not very pleased pirate kitty. Anyone with a cat should understand this “You ignored my belly rub request so you shall die” look.
Turn back around to the blankets and find this. Sigh…
This is when crafting is put aside and cuddling on the couch with them, playing on Pinterest takes over. Smart little creatures got their way and in the end, it was a good escape. Amazing how these little furry creatures can sense your moods.

that is too funny! my boys do the same thing- jake will force his face into my hand until i pet him and charlie will curl up on anything on the floor- he really likes drop clothes!
The most surprising thing is that Lemur is not one of the fuzzies getting in the way of craft time!!!

My husband’s old dog used to do the same thing! It was impossible to do anything on the floor without her jumping on top of it and laying down. It was especially annoying when wrapping Christmas presents!

Ha ha ha! The sweetest post ever! I was just about to make a similar post, because my two cats manage to eat my paper, dirty my fabrics and basically get in the way each time I want to take a “catalog look” photo. But of course, I never had the courage to post anything related to “pet awkward moments”…
