The blogging world is an amazing little community. I’ve always seen it but it is so awesome to feel it first hand. I joined the package pals exchange at C.R.A.F.T. and was matched up with Cheryl from That’s What Che Said. The package pals needed to make or put together a crafty gift for their partner.
Could I have been paired with a more perfect pal? Nope, not possible. Some of my bloggy friends I’ve known for some time and share comments and stories back and forth. Cheryl just “met” me. She did her research and sent me one of the most thoughtful gifts ever. She clearly read the 25 random things about me post.
This is the the lovely gift set I received from her. Colored markers, a to do list and a necklace. All especially picked out or made for me.
I love to do lists. Love them. This one is personalized with my name and Bob Dylan quotes. And she sent me markers so I can color coordinate my lists! Cheryl knows how to encourage my OCD ways and I love her for that!
If that wasn’t enough, she made me a necklace out of washers. The washers are stamped with the names of my five babies. I know non-animal lovers find that hard to understand but I don’t have kids and the mutts are my little loves.
I sent Cheryl a package of sunshine from sunny South Florida. I made her a copy of my awesome stencil art and a sunny lemon kitchen apron (tutorial coming soon). I also sent her some coffee because she is a big coffee lover and well, I don’t know about you, but I can’t have a sunny morning without some coffee.

Have you ever participated in an exchange like this? I did another exchange this month too (which I will share later this week) and I’ve just been blown away with how thoughtful the gifts have been. What an amazing feeling to come home to a surprise present!
I never have and obviously I’ve been missing out! What fun. I think it’s these little things in life that keep joy in our hearts 🙂
