I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I will admit, I wish it was one day longer.
My craft today uses the same freezer paper technique I’ve used a few times already but today’s gift had a special purpose. A friend of mine has a little 5-year old who is fighting cancer. He was diagnosed in February with a stage 4 rare form of bone cancer. He is fighting hard and doing well after these first 5 months of treatments but he has a long road ahead of him. As part of a care package that I’m sending them, I made a shirt for him and one for his little brother.
Aaron is a big Star Wars fan (as am I) so I thought it would be fun to remind him that the force is still strong with him. I found this Star Wars font and I am in love with it. I can’t wait to use it for other projects. The front of the shirt announces the little Jedi’s name and the back has the Star Wars logo.
And I can’t send a present for Aaron without a little something for his baby brother Zach. All the friends and family supporting Aaron during his fight have dubbed themselves Team Aa for Aaron. I thought it would be fitting to give his baby brother a shirt that shows his love and loyalty.
Keep this little guy in your thoughts and prayers. He is a great kid with a huge amount of courage.
