What The Duck Is It Baby Shower & Gender Reveal

Oh hi there. I won't even say I'm back for real or try to excuse my absence but my day-job has put definitely put a damper on my blogging the last few months. Why do I have to be a grown up? Yeah, so...just before my most recent hiatus, I was blogging about my bestie being pregnant. We hosted her what the duck is it gender reveal and baby shower this past weekend. All inspired by a cute invite we found on TinyPrints. It was an unconventional baby shower and gender reveal at a bar. Yes, a bar. … [Read more...]

munchkin outdoor playroom – stenciled nautical art

March 28, 2014 Leave a Comment

This post is sponsored by Plaid Crafts. I received materials for this project and compensation for my time, but all opinions are most definitely my own!  If you've been around here for even a bit, you know I love stencils. Even with my ability to make my own stencils from freezer paper or vinyl, good quality, reusable stencils are always great to have on hand. I was really excited to try out the new Stencil1 line because their edgy, modern designs are fun and different. To … [Read more...]

project nursery – harry potter light switch

March 24, 2014 1 Comment

While I have 800 projects in the works right now, it really seems like I'm trending with the Harry Potter themed items for you. This time, a Harry Potter light switch. Yeah, I'm out of control for the upcoming birth of my new niece or nephew, and my geek tendencies are showing.  I've seen many variations of this project on Pinterest, so I knew it would be an easy but cute addition to the nursery. I used my trusty Silhouette to set up the text for the project. Applying vinyl using transfer … [Read more...]

i lost my mind – disney wine & dine half marathon

March 11, 2014 3 Comments

Yeah, so apparently I was either drunk at 8am last week or abducted by aliens temporarily. Or really, really, really peer pressured by my best friend. I registered for the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon. Do you realize I don't really run? I mean, I do exercise and regularly walk/run 2. 5 miles. But run, like run a half marathon? No. I don't do that. … [Read more...]

project nursery – harry potter nursery art

March 7, 2014 4 Comments

Clearly the Harry Potter theme is going to be around throughout my bestie's pregnancy. How can it not? The room itself is not Harry Potter themed but that doesn't mean we can't add some Harry Potter nursery art to the mix. So far the nursery is lending itself to a modern, adventurer feel.  I picked up these birchwood wood slices at Michael's a few weeks ago with no plan in mind. I have a bit of a craft hoarding problem. I randomly just buy things I have no concrete plan for (please tell me I am … [Read more...]

project nursery – chalkboard arrow sign

February 24, 2014 3 Comments

Don't get excited. There is no baby in the works for this blogger. I'm knee deep in planning for my bestie's first born. So far I've made a million Harry Potter onesies, have a secret Pinterest board for her shower & baby crafts, as well as a few other projects currently in the works. This chalkboard arrow sign shouldn't even count as a project because it was so simple. I went to Michael's last weekend for the #mpinterest party and picked up the wooden arrow with a coupon. Sadly, I was the … [Read more...]
