I’m back…again. So sorry. Please don’t hate me for my hiatus. I have a good reason to be back and finally will be back for good – I’m in Atlanta for the Haven Conference! When I bought my ticket last year it felt it would take forever for the conference to roll around and now it I finally time! I flew in to Atlanta this morning on a very bumpy flight. Can I say how thankful I am that you can buy alcohol on flights? After an easy trip on the MARTA I'm settled in to my room for the … [Read more...]
pretty packaging – as easy as it gets
Hope you all had a good weekend! We kept it low key for the most part. Next weekend we get back into the swing of renovations. Everyone needs a break, right?! I hope so because since we hosted the baby shower in December we have slacked...even more so with all the changes in my life. I love giving gifts and I love the wrapping almost as much as the gifts themselves. We had a bunch of festivities this past weekend including a baptism and two three year birthdays so wrapping the gifts was a … [Read more...]

i’m a blooming blogger today
Happy Friday!! My first week back has been light but only because I'm slowly catching up into the renovation and crafting world again. This weekend in between some fun festivities with friends and family, I'll be working on some crafts and if we get extra time, some much needed house projects. I'm over at The Blooming Hydrangea today as a Blooming Blogger. If you haven't met Ange and seen her blog, you are missing out. She is by far one of the sweetest bloggers I "know". Best part is, I will … [Read more...]
help keep a special girl smiling
Yes, I know this is my second post after a month-long hiatus and I'm asking for something. It is not for me and it is a good deed so hear me out! Kimberly from Tiaras and Bowties, has a sweet and adorable high-schooler named Alexis. This sweet girl has special needs and hasn't had the best time fitting into high school. High school can be cruel and I can't even imagine what it is like for someone who struggles with other needs. Alexis is still smiling despite her struggles and we can all help … [Read more...]
mother’s fay brunch – brunch decorations
Hi! Remember me? I hope so. It has been a whirlwind month in a good sense but it left me with little free time. Now that I'm getting settled in at the new job, I'll be posting on a more regular schedule....at least that is my intention ;) I will also be spending the next week catching up on a month's full of posts I've missed. I have so much to read! For all the moms, aunts, godmothers, grandmothers of human and furry kids alike - Happy Mother's Day! We hosted brunch at our place for our moms, … [Read more...]
big & little t-shirts – personalized gifts for siblings
I mentioned last week that everyone seems to be having kids around me lately. To go with the baby blankets I have been making, I've also been working on using my freezer paper tutorial to personalize gifts for siblings. It is always hard to show up with a gift for the new little one and not bring something for the older sibling(s). These seem to be big hit with all the moms and are so easy to make. This set is for two of my favorite boys, Drew and Parker. Drew is 2 and Parker will be 3 months … [Read more...]
planting an herb garden part 1 – the planning process
I'm so excited that we are finally getting to the point that we are planting things. It has been over a year in this house and all we have done is rip out plants. While it has been nice to get a clean slate to work with, we like plants and the hubby is really good at not killing them....me not so much. We did a little trip to Home Depot and came home with a bunch of seeds to get started. We plan on getting these planted in little pots to get the seedlings started while we work on building our … [Read more...]
