I was able to build a table thanks to Ana White! A great little C table on wheels for our family room. This was my inspiration and I followed her instructions on almost every step. The only difference was our material list. Ana White suggests MDF but we had a ton of scrap plywood and access to a table saw so we cut down the plywood to her suggested sizes instead. old to new – midcentury cabinet
I'm loving my "new" piece of furniture!During my sanity break a couple of weeks ago, I picked up this little mid-century modern wine cabinet at a thrift store. The formica was beat up everywhere and it needed help but it was only $18 so I brought it home. I got the look from the hubby who thought I was insane when he unloaded it from the car. 4 + 6 = 10
Happy Anniversary to us! Today is our 10th anniversary of being together. 4 years of dating, 6 years of marriage all celebrated on the same day. We had our first official date on November 5th, 2001. We went to lunch that day because my class was cancelled due to a hurricane watch. He asked me to marry him 4 years later on the same day during a weekend getaway. time for fall – grapevine wreath
I tried to not waste any time going from Halloween to "Fall" decor. South Florida really has no Fall but I should probably retire the bat wreath for a something a bit more in line with Thanksgiving. When I was wandering around Micheal's right before Halloween they were having a super sale and I had a great coupon to go along with it. this is halloween – halloween hangover
Not really hungover but the day flew by and so did yesterday. We had a great time on Halloween night with our friends who came over. So much fun we apparently forgot to take pictures. All we have are the handful of fuzzy ones I took with my phone while I was not chasing dogs in costumes or the little Superman who was visiting around the house.The weather was soggy so trick-or-treating was minimal. this is halloween – happy halloween!!
Halloween is finally here! Everything is ready to go for our trick-or-treaters and casual pizza party with a few friends tonight.I even carved a last minute pumpkin yesterday to go with my many bat decorations this year. Now I'm just hoping the weather holds up and we get no rain tonight so the trick-or-treaters show. If not, there will be a lot of candy in my future.Have a great time tonight! nothing done
Apparently my last semester of grad school is going to be the biggest time suck ever. Not that the past 17 months have been a walk in the park but these last two courses are reminding me why I'm so happy to be almost done. I took a few days off of work this week for a mental health break. I worked on a major global project this entire year and I haven't taken more than a Friday or Monday here and there off all year.
